Abitus, formerly U.S. Education Network, was founded by Mr. Toyoaki Miwa (CPA, CIA) in 1995 to provide CPA review courses. The business has since expanded its domain to include other professional qualifications such as Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) and Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), and Certification for International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).

In 2008, the company merged with Career Access, Inc., its job search services subsidiary, to provide a “total human resource solution service.”
